How to make Almond Butter
Posted on November 13 2023
Making almond butter is easier than you might think. All you need is unsalted almonds, a blender, and a little bit of a neutral oil such as avocado or grape seed oil. Let's get started!
- Start with roasted almonds: Using pre-roasted almonds allows you to skip the roasting step. Our unsalted Just Almonds are slow dry-roasted without the use of oil.
- Blend: Put the almonds into a blender and start blending. Turn the blender off and scrape the sides with a spoon to break up any clumps. Add no more than a tablespoon of neutral oil. Restart the blender and repeat this process until creamy. Easy on the oil, a little goes a long way!
- Enjoy: Spread it on bread or use it as celery stick dip! In fact, use it any way you would peanut butter; the difference is almond butter contains a lot more vitamin E, iron, and calcium.
Almond butter can be stored in a container in your refrigerator, it should stay fresh for around two weeks.
